May 2011 saw the launch of new boutique guest house The Beach at Bude on Summerleaze Crescent in Bude. We were lucky enough to be involved from the very beginning when the architects were still drawing up plans, and it has been wonderful to see the project develop over the last 18 months.

Formerly a 30 bed hotel, the Beach at Bude now boasts 15 luxurious bedrooms with a New England feel. Communal spaces are light and fresh, inviting guests to relax in the library, or with the papers in the Lloyd Loom furnished conservatory.

We used limed oak furniture, deck chair striped soft furnishings and local artwork throughout. The ensuite bathrooms have walk in rain showers, designer taps and quite a few have roll top baths. It’s a stunning get away and has opened to brilliant and well deserved reviews.
