“I moved into a brand new apartment in Mount Wise, Plymouth in late summer 2018.

The apartment is a substantial two bedroom apartment with a master bedroom en-suite, a further bathroom, a small utility room with a washer/dryer and a large living area. The en-suite, bathroom and kitchen were complete (by developer).

I had an outline idea of what I wanted but I knew I needed assistance from a professional interior designer. I engaged Lynne from Cornish Interiors.

At all stages of developing the design for each room Lynne listened to what I perceived to be the solution. Lynne put my vague ideas into detailed plans with recommendations on the furniture, lighting & accessories required and where to purchase the various items.

The final result is outstanding and all my visitors have expressed their surprise at the high quality of the final result.

“We used Cornish Interiors for inspiration and ideas for our proposed extension we had planned.

From start to finish, Vicki was very professional and knowledgeable in all aspects of styling and design. She was very conscientious of what our needs were and her attention to detail was second to none.

All aspects of interior design was considered from paint colours, lamp styles, flooring styles and textures, soft furnishings, the list goes on! Nothing was ever too much for Vicki to look in to or arrange, even arranging kitchen door samples and flooring samples to match colours even more accurately!

Communication was excellent and key, especially during COVID-19 lockdown and social distancing regulations where a face to face meeting was not possible.

Mood boards were provided giving a great inspiration and an insight of how the space would look.

We cannot thank Vicki and Cornish Interiors enough with them providing us with reassurances and ideas that were current and also maintained the look and feel of what we wanted.

“Right from the start Vicki made things very easy. We own a period house in much need of TLC that has been in the family for generations with all the pressure that that brings with it. Interior decorating is not something either of us feel we are good at – thoughts of doing anything and getting it wrong were intimidating, not knowing where to start or which direction to go in meant that actually that we did nothing. The only thing we were sure of was that we wanted whatever we did to be sympathetic to the age of the house. I went to Cornish Interiors not really sure if it was the right thing to do and met Vicki. She was fantastic, so friendly and I felt comfortable chatting through the situation. She travelled out to see us, walked through the two rooms we were concentrating on taking some measurements and discussing some ideas.

The appointment was not onerous and time flew past. I was so delighted when the e-mail came through with the design boards, followed in the post by samples of paint and wall paper. The designs were very ‘us’ and she was spot on with regard to all the suggestions she made for colours and room layout. Vicki had given us different options for each piece of furniture or light fitting so we could decide which way to spend the budget for the rooms. We can’t wait to start the work and have the finished article to make the house we live in feel more like OUR home – just fantastic.”
