Built in 1935, Portland House is a large detached seaside villa and one of few remaining examples of Spanish Hollywood Art Deco in the country.
Working closely with the brilliant team put in place by the National Trust, we set to work scouring the country for original deco pieces including; 1930's beds, soft furnishings, period pieces of art and furniture and an amazing burgh wood suite. As well as sourcing new items, there was a huge amount of restoration; original baths were re enamelled, parquet flooring sanded back to its former heyday and light fittings refurbished to reveal silver work and crystal hidden under years of grime!
The whole project was a labour of love for all who worked on it and the result is truly unique holiday villa where you can relax and slip into another era.
