We converted a disused former convent in the tiny hamlet of Plympton St Maurice into a sumptuous 15 bedroom boutique hotel and restaurant. Bedrooms were fitted with bespoke English oak furniture, luxurious ViSpring beds and designer bathroom suites.

We sourced a wonderful solid pewter bartop for the locally made bar, and went antique shopping for interesting objets to fill the hotel's nooks and crannies. Again, we worked within the constraints of a listed building and with the help of locally sourced experts, sympathetically reinstated marble fireplaces and original cornicing and plasterwork.

The hotel opened to rave reviews, won a Green Apple award for sustainable design, and is now considered one of the finest hotels in the South West.
