Meet the Team
Cathryn
Owner and Director
Cathryn founded Cornish Interiors in 2003 following a successful career with several prominent property developers. With a degree in Spatial and Interior Design, she brings a wealth of experience across a diverse range of projects, from luxury private homes and historic buildings to hotels, restaurants, retail spaces, and commercial developments.
Known for her people-focused approach, Cathryn thrives on collaboration, often acting as the client’s ‘eyes on the ground’ for Southwest based projects. She has a natural talent for encouraging bold design choices, ensuring every space she creates is both beautiful and deeply personal to those who live or work in it. Calm under pressure and always hands-on, she enjoys nothing more than being onsite, immersed in the creative process.
Beyond her design work, Cathryn shares her expertise as a part-time lecturer in Interior Design & Styling, a role that continually enriches her own design practice. When she’s not working, you’ll find her sea swimming, treasure hunting along the Cornish coast, or exploring beautifully designed spaces.
Lynne
Senior Interior Designer
Lynne joined Cornish Interiors in 2016, bringing with her a wealth of experience in commercial design and office interiors. Having worked across London and Guildford over a 20-year period, she has a broad understanding of design principles across both residential and commercial sectors. Her passion for design extends to her personal life as well, after spending over 10 years renovating a historic farmhouse, Lynne has developed a deep understanding of her clients’ needs, especially when it comes to blending the old with the new.
Her expertise is further enriched by being married to a building surveyor, giving her an invaluable knowledge of the technical aspects of how a building functions. Known for her natural talent with subtle colour palettes and intricate layers of texture, Lynne has worked on projects in Jersey, Surrey, Cornwall, and Devon. Lynne thrives in the energy of a busy building site and enjoys collaborating with trades teams to bring her design visions to life.
When she’s not designing, Lynne is passionate about Mid-century furniture and design. You’ll often find her at French flea markets hunting for hidden gems, or enjoying time cooking, gardening, and sea swimming.
Dani
Interior Designer
Dani joined Cornish Interiors in 2024 after relocating from the bustle of Bristol. Her career began in Landscape Architecture before she followed her true passion into the world of Interior Design. Over the years, Dani has worked on a wide variety of projects, including show homes, private residences, holiday lets, hotels, and bars.
In addition to her design expertise, Dani has also developed strong styling and buying skills through previous roles. She thrives on bringing clients’ visions to life, confidently delivering on briefs regardless of style or palette. For Dani, the most rewarding part of any project is seeing the design take shape, and of course, a happy client at the end!
Outside of work, Dani is fully embracing life in Plymouth with her husband and their dog, Alan. She enjoys sea swimming, exploring the coast path, and discovering the many fantastic eateries in the local area.
Holly
Studio Assistant
Holly wears many hats within the studio, providing essential support to the design team in their day-to-day tasks. From helping on project fit-outs and ordering samples to checking stock and sourcing products, she plays a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly.
Holly also manages our extensive materials library, ensuring all samples are up-to-date and well-organised. With a great eye for colour and an innate sense of style, she’s an invaluable member of the team, always ready to lend a hand (and make a mean cup of tea!).
